Jamaica is an island nation of the Greater Antilles in the Caribbean.

Jamaica is situated in the Caribbean Sea.

It is about 145 miles south of Cuba, and 120 miles west of the island of Hispaniola, on which Haiti and the Dominican Republic are situated.

Jamaica is a constitutional monarchy with the monarch being represented by a Governor-General.
